Make sure that each team has 6 people. There can't be more or less than 6 people per team. Each team must have a team manager when registering, since the name of the team manager will be asked in the registration form. Also, one parent can't do the registration for all the team members. Every parent has to do their own registration for their own child(ren).
There will be an individual fee of 40 dollars per person when registering, and it must be payed through PayPal. If using PayPal is an issue, please contact me and we can work something out.
There will be no individual registration this year, like in the previous years, so when people register, they must already be part of a team with a team name. Everyone in one team doesn't need to come from the same school, but everyone must be eligible for the particular sections, by meeting the grade requirement for each section. For example, there can be a team of 6 with 4 5th graders and 2 3rd graders, but there can't be a team of 6 with 4 5th graders, 1 6th grader, and 1 4th grader, since the 6th grader comes under the middle school section.
The registration form can be found on this website by clicking on the "Register Now!" tab above.
A student or team won't be finalized as a participant of the STEM Bee until the payment is received because all these donations are going to Red Cross, every single penny.
PLEASE READ ALL THE PAGES ON THIS WEBSITE BEFORE REGISTERING, SINCE THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AVAILABLE SINCE THIS IS A DONATION TO RED CROSS.
The registration starts on September 18 and ends on January 22 11:59 PST. There will be no team member replacements after this time, and if a team member drops, then the whole team would have to drop unless they find a person within a week. If this happens, please contact me immediately.
About the Event
It will be held on March 30 at Location TBD
On Tournament Day
It is highly recommended to have a t-shirt or some type of uniform for the whole team to wear in order to look like a unified team in order for the team's members to represent the team. To get an idea of what teams in the past have done, please go to the Pictures section and take a look at the STEM Bee (Brain Bee) in the previous years.
The event typically starts around 8:00 AM with registration, and ends at 6:00 PM with the awards ceremony, depending on the pace of the events and the number of teams that register.
More details about the tournament day will be going out as we get closer to the competition day.
The team must at all times remain on campus until all of their events for the day are over since we might be moving either ahead or behind schedule, and we need all the teams to remain since they never know if they might get called early or later. The schedules will be going out about a month before the tournament is held.
